IIMB-CRERI (IIMB-Century Real Estate Research Initiative)

Mission

Our mission is to build this initiative into a world-class Centre of Excellence that conducts scientific inter-disciplinary research on the Indian Real Estate Sector. The research will be published in leading academic and practitioner journals, and is expected to provide guidance and policy prescriptions to government and industry stakeholders on major issues relating to the sector.

Objectives

To build on the following four pillars of excellence:

- Undertake Scientific inter-disciplinary research, that addresses problems in both the public and private domain

- Shape Public Policy

- Educate/train current and future industry leaders

- Help build high quality data/information/knowledge repositories

Areas of focus

The Centre will undertake and sponsor multi-disciplinary, scientific research on issues such as:

- affordable housing

- mortgage risk

- housing supply and Demand estimation

- pricing models/indices

- sentiment indices

- REITs/investment opportunities

Activities

IIMB-CRERI sponsors research programmes, doctoral dissertations and student projects. Dissemination of research findings is carried out through journal articles, working papers, case studies, newsletters, conferences and roundtables.
