We often think our audience will get a glimpse of our well-crafted slides and expect a ‘call for action’. We are happy to clarify and communicate further by being there and explaining each slide in detail. Have you given a thought to the process of communication that exists before, during and after your presentation? Centre for Management Communication conducted a workshop on ‘Presentation before the Presentation’ for Executive Education Programme managers at IIM Bangalore. The 3-day programme, saw participants understand different communication styles and reconstruct it to suit their audience and their expectations. Through these sessions, the participants were able to unpack layers of barriers, biases and decision-making styles to find the most persuasive elements of business communication. The workshop was designed and delivered by Chairperson of the Centre for Management Communication, Prof. Deepti Ganapathy. Various functional heads, Project Administrators, Programme Administrators from the Exec Education Programme office took active part in this workshop.
