FT MBA Global Rankings 2023 (EPGP): IIM Bangalore reaffirms its global leadership in management education
Programme moves one place up to #52 and scores well on key parameters including employability & aims achieved
13 February, 2023, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) continues to shine on the global stage, moving one place up to 52nd position in the Financial Times (FT) MBA 2023 rankings, which considered the one-year fulltime Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP).
With a score of 16, IIMB notched up the highest score in the newly introduced ‘Carbon Footprint’ rank.
The latest FT ranking reflects IIMB’s commitment to excellence, with highest scores in several key categories, including:

“Aims achieved% at 87” which explores the extent to which alumni fulfilled their stated goals or reasons for doing an MBA

“100% Employment in 3 months” which continues to assert that EPGP graduates are well accepted in the market

“45% Women on board” showcasing the highest percentage of women on the Institute’s advisory board

“International course experience rank at 15” stating a robust exchange and internship programme

“Carbon footprint rank at 16” reaffirming the Institute’s commitment towards achieving the net zero target

In addition to its ascent in the overall ranking, IIMB also scored extremely well in salary percentage increase and faculty with doctorates. Compared to 2022, the school saw an uptick in terms of career progression rank, female faculty and female student ratios.
The FT MBA ranking is broadly based on three areas – Career Progress, Diversity and Research/SG. It is based on data and responses from alumni, as well as information provided by the schools themselves. The core metrics considered for the rankings include value for money, career progress, aims achieved, career services, employability, female students, the involvement of women on the school board, female faculty, international mobility, faculty with doctorates, and newly added parameters – ESG and carbon footprint.
