IIM Bangalore retains high ranking in NIRF 2023; improves scores in Graduation Outcomes and Outreach & Inclusivity

07 June 2023: IIM Bangalore retains its second position in the India Rankings 2023 of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the ‘Management’ category, with improved scores across parameters such as ‘Graduation Outcomes’ and ‘Outreach & Inclusivity’, and stellar scores in ‘Peer Perception: Employers and Academic Peers’. 

In the Graduate Outcomes category, IIMB has recorded the highest score among the top four management institutes in India in the ‘Placements and Higher Studies’ sub-category. IIMB’s strong industry connections, robust placement services and comprehensive career development programs have contributed to favourable outcomes for its graduates.

Professor Rahul De’, Dean, Programmes, IIM Bangalore, said: “The NIRF is a widely recognized national indicator of educational excellence. Our performance underscores our collective efforts to provide top quality management education and nurture leaders who make impact."

IIMB has also been recognised for its renewed efforts towards diversity and inclusion with an improved score in the ‘Outreach and Inclusivity’ category. With a score of 72.83, the institute marked an increase from the previous year’s score of 71.34.

Notably, the Institute secured the highest score in the ‘Economically and Socially Challenged Students’ subcategory (1.27). The score is a testimony to its continued efforts towards improving the accessibility of high-quality management education.

The Institute also secured top scores in the sub-categories of ‘Faculty-student ratio with emphasis on permanent faculty (FSR)’, ‘Metric for University Examinations (GUE)’ and ‘Facilities for Physically Challenged Students (PCS)’. 

IIM Bangalore's continued strong presence in these rankings reaffirms its status as an institution of choice for those aspiring to pursue management education in India.
