Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability and Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs jointly host program on ‘Enhancing Board Focus on Enterprise Risk Management’ on 19th January

The program covered topics like emerging trends in ERM, cyber security and technology risks, risks and ESG, legal and compliance risks, and evolving trends in Corporate Governance and the role of Boards 

30 January, 2024, Bengaluru: The Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability (CCGS) at IIM Bangalore, in association with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), hosted a one-day program on, Enhancing Board Focus on Enterprise Risk Management’, on 19th January 2024 at the IIM Bangalore campus. The program was attended by CEOs, CFOs, Board members, Independent Directors from the public and private sectors, etc. 

In the current business context, the role of Boards has become crucial in ERM implementation. The CCGS-IICA program provided a deep, insightful and interactive experience to participants on the subjects of emerging trends in ERM, cyber security and technology risks, risks and ESG, legal and compliance risks, and evolving trends in Corporate Governance and the role of Boards.  

The sessions of the CCGS-IICA program were conducted by Prof. S. Sadagopan, Former Director of IIIT Bangalore; Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Chairperson, Centre for Corporate Governance & Sustainability and faculty of the Finance & Accounting area, IIM Bangalore; Prof. Anil B Suraj, Chairperson, N.S. Ramaswamy Pre-doctoral Fellowship and faculty of the Public Policy area, IIM Bangalore; Anand Jangid, Managing Partner, AJA Consulting, and Dr. Niraj Gupta, Head, School of Corporate Governance and Public Policy, IICA.
