The report was highly appreciated by industry leaders.

Abstract of the Paper

The paper aims at creating awareness, exploration and adoption of Cloud services by SMEs/SMBs so that they can leverage on the positive aspects of Cloud technology and grow their businesses. It starts with a chapter introducing the Cloud Services by drawing parallels to the activities that everyone is familiar with, like renting a house. It helps IT managers to know about the capabilities of the cloud services existing in India and the way they can adopt them to their business. Then it helps the reader understand the competitive advantage one could gain by using the cloud technologies vis-a-vis the competition. Cloud Service along with process changes to fully exploit its potential can prove a boon to the companies in any industry since the cloud services are built on the industry best practices which most of the companies are unaware of or could not implement due to cost implications. The final chapter will give out a list of things the IT managers should look out for before embracing the cloud services. It will help them decide which are the go and the no-go areas in cloud computing based on their size and industry.

The paper also contains case studies of Indian companies like redBus, JVS Textiles & 2 other firms that adopted cloud services to gain a competitive advantage. A detailed survey analysis of 30 IT managers' responses is also presented.
