IIM Bangalore to host Doctoral Consortium on Teaching 2026

The Centre for Teaching and Learning to conduct a five-day residential programme for advanced doctoral scholars

17 December, 2025, Bengaluru: The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IIM Bangalore will host the Doctoral Consortium on Teaching 2026, a five-day, on-campus programme designed for doctoral scholars in management and allied disciplines. The consortium will be conducted in two batches: 12–16 January 2026 (Batch 1) and 27–31 January 2026 (Batch 2).

Effective academic practice demands an aptitude for research and a deep understanding of teaching and learning practices. Recognising this imperative, the Doctoral Consortium on Teaching is structured to support advanced-stage doctoral scholars as they prepare to transition into faculty roles within higher education institutions.

Over the past five years, the programme has played a significant role in strengthening teaching capabilities among emerging academics in the management domain. Through a carefully curated curriculum, the consortium enables participants to engage with pedagogical frameworks, classroom practice, course design, and reflective teaching methodologies central to contemporary management education.

Eligibility:

Doctoral scholars in the concluding stages of their PhD programme (fourth year and above) are preferred.

Application process:

- Nominations sent only by the Directors, Chairpersons, or Heads of Doctoral Programmes from institutes and universities will be considered. The nominations can be sent through official e-mail IDs to the IIMB-CTL ID, i.e., ctl@iimb.ac.in.
