The Hult Prize Foundation challenges young contestants to solve world’s most pressing issues through social entrepreneurship. Each year, participating university students and start-ups are challenged to create a for-profit social venture representing a variety of industries that create a measurable positive impact on people and the planet, and supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year, instead of providing a single theme or issue, the challenge is ‘UNLIMITED!’, with the winning team to receive $1M USD in funding to make their idea a reality.
Around 700 start-ups will be participating in the semi-final round out of a pool of over 100,000 students and entrepreneurs from more than 120 countries. The semi-finals will be held in seven summits across the world which would offer the opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to pitch their idea and network with an esteemed panel of judges as well as other participants worldwide.
