PGPEM team “Biz Masterminds” wins Business Case Competition Conducted by BITS Pilani

Abhinav Atwal, Javed Ahmad, Prashant Singh R and Vipin Varghese bag the first prize in ‘Case Sensitive’

08 DECEMBER, 2022: The PGPEM team called ‘Biz Masterminds’, comprising Abhinav Atwal, Javed Ahmad, Prashant Singh R and Vipin Varghese, won the first prize in ‘Case Sensitive’, a Business Case competition conducted by BITS Pilani. The quartet, which proposed the most suitable and sustainable Go-to-Market strategy and products for an Edtech company for their future growth, received a cash prize for finishing on top of the pile.

The competition was aimed to strategize and help an EdTech company in their bid to move to an offline delivery model. The submissions and final presentations were judged by the company’s founder and strategy officers. The contestants in the finals included multiple teams from other premier institutions including IIM-A, IIM-C, IIM-K and BITS Pilani, among others.

In all, more than 850 teams from across the country took part in the contest organised by the BHCG (BITS Hyderabad Consulting Group, BITS Pilani). The teams came through three rounds of executive submission and case deck with implementation strategy before the presentation round, which focussed on the proposed new products/offerings and the GTM Strategy. All this was followed by a Q&A session to arrive at the most optimal and sustainable solution towards organic growth, at the end of which the last team standing was ‘Biz Masterminds’.
