Prof. Padmini Srinivasan appointed Public Interest Director at Bombay Stock Exchange

21 February, 2023, Bengaluru: Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Chairperson, Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship and Faculty in the Finance and Accounting area of IIM Bangalore, has been appointed Public Interest Director at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), with effect from 14th February 2023.
Prof. Padmini Srinivasan received her PhD from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
As full-time faculty at IIM Bangalore, she teaches Financial Reporting and Analysis, Corporate Governance and Ethics, and Management Accounting in the postgraduate programmes. Her interests in Teaching, Research and Consulting are in the areas of Financial Reporting and Analysis, Corporate Governance, Corporate Disclosure Practices, and Enterprise Risk Management.
Prof. Padmini Srinivasan has held several important positions, including Member of the Oversight body of the Integrated Reporting Academic Network of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), Special Invitee to the Accounting Standards Board and Auditing and Assurance Standards Boards of ICAI.
Her career includes teaching as Visiting Faculty at the University of Exeter Business School, UK, and at IIIT-B. Prior to joining IIMB, she worked in industry, for over 14 years, in various positions in Treasury, Planning, MIS and Accounting, and had her own practice.
