IIMB Young Faculty Research Chair Dr. Arpita Pandey receives Bala & Vasantha Balachandran Research Grant from the North American Society for Marketing Education in India

Hers was one of the three successful research proposals from over 50 paper submissions; award includes cash component to be used for further research

21 December, 2021: Dr. Arpita Pandey, IIMB Young Faculty Research Chair and faculty in the Marketing area, has been awarded the Bala and Vasantha Balachandran Research Grant by the North American Society for Marketing Education in India (NASMEI), for a research paper based on her dissertation.

Dr. Pandey’s research was one of the three successful research proposals from over 50 paper submissions that the program attracted. The award includes a cash component to be used for further research.

The recipients were awarded at the NASMEI Marketing Conference held at the Great Lakes Institute of Management, organized by the Kotler-Srinivasan Centre for Research in Marketing.

About the research: Dr. Pandey’s research focuses on the impact of pro-social interventions in consumers’ online decision journey on consumer behaviour. The research combines theoretical insights from the literature on cause-related-marketing and online consumer decision journey, and utilizes field and quasi-field experiments to present insights for marketers.

According to the NASMEI website, the Great Lakes-NASMEI Conference is among the top international conferences in the Marketing area in India, which attracts presentations by professors and doctoral students from leading schools in USA, India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, France and Hong Kong.
