First batch from the Young Leaders’ Program receive Accomplishment Certificates on August 08
The first cohort of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’s Young Leaders’ Program (Batches 1 and 2) received their course accomplishment certificates on 8th August, 2019. In the first cohort, 134 participants completed the program, fulfilling the course requirements. The course was started on 19th July 2019 and concluded on 11th August 2019.
The Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) at IIMB is a blended learning program comprising of three campus connect modules and two online modules consisting of ten Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) by its digital learning initiative IIMBx, and IIMB Faculty. The online courses, consisting of five foundation courses and five function management courses, are spread over 58 weeks, with a Campus Connect for 15 days. Besides, there is an elite academic team consisting of a Manager and three Pedagogical Research Associates (PRAs) for active faculty and student interaction. The PRAs of IIMBx also extend their support wherever required.
Ashish Agrawal, one of the participants of the program, says: “Before joining this course, I was in a technical function in my organization. About a year ago, I was offered an opportunity to opt for this course to enhance my managerial and analytical skills. Today, I can comprehend the fundamentals of management, statistics, organization design, communications, marketing, etc. It has helped me improve my analytical skills and decision-making ability. I gained much more from the course than I anticipated. This course is great for anyone who wishes to think out of the box.”
Shrey Gupta mentions that being in IIMB has provided him with a second opportunity to experience college life. He says, “This course has helped me dig deep into fascinating subjects, tackle advanced concepts and flex my intellectual muscle along with my job. The course has been specifically carved out for working professionals, ambitious to learn and grow in life. Exploring subjects in greater depth can be both thrilling and challenging. It is incalculably rewarding when you turn in your assignments on time and the appreciation you get from the teachers. The journey throughout the completion of the course, with the constant support of the faculty members, has strengthened my confidence and has made me more disciplined in life.”
Arpit Jain, another delighted student of the program, is proud of having completed the YLP course as it has helped him organize his learnings and move ahead in his career towards a target. He mentions, “I am moving to a Product Manager role in a startup in Bangalore soon. I would have never imagined moving into a management role after just three years of development experience. The YLP has helped me to level up, that too, at a nascent stage in my career.”
