EPGP student Chirag Soni bags first position in Blackcoffer Insights 9.0 Competition

His paper, ‘How advanced analytics is redefining banking’ will be published on the firm’s website

21 May, 2019, Bengaluru: Chirag Soni, student of the 2019-20 batch of the Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), the one-year MBA at IIM Bangalore, has secured first position in the Blackcoffer Insights 9.0 Competition – Banking Finance Special Edition, hosted by the company, Blackcoffer. Chirag’s article titled, ‘How Advanced Analytics is Redefining Banking’ has been selected to be published on the Blackcoffer website.

The top storyteller and articles of the international-level competition are featured on Blackcoffer Consulting’s Insights website and distributed across industries and CXOs, CIOs, etc.

Blackcoffer is an India and European Union (Malta) based enterprise software and analytics consulting firm, founded by IIT alumni. It is a data-driven, technology and decision science firm focused exclusively on big data and analytics, data-driven dashboards, applications development, information management and consulting.

Chirag has over seven years’ experience in the Advanced Analytics and Data Science domain for Retail Banking, Sales & Marketing, Management Consulting, Product and Pricing verticals.

About the paper: The banking industry is going through a transformational journey with the comprehensive usage of Advanced Analytics algorithms in day-to-day business of core banking. Customer acquisition through various channels, existing customer engagement, predicting defaulters on credit card or loan applications, etc. are few of the areas where analytics has contributed to a large extent. Chirag, in this paper, has explained some of the scenarios from his experience of working in an advanced analytics team of a leading multinational bank, where they used some interesting concepts from analytics and machine learning to solve complex business problems.
