Synopsis of the book:
‘Neoskilling for Digital Transformation’ is a management book for middle to senior level management. In today’s era of rapid digitization, individuals, organizations and even countries should be aware of emerging technologies, how they impact them and most importantly, making use of them for significant benefits. These technologies have reached levels of maturity to delivering significant business impact. It is the people aspect that is the challenge faced my most organizations. People should be skilled enough to understand these technologies, adopt them to address a business challenge or opportunity, and successfully roll out large-scale implementations overcoming resistance to change.
Managers reskill their teams, to meet today’s needs. Leaders think ahead, for the futuristic long-term needs of their organizations and the overall ecosystem to excel and reap the benefits of the Digital Transformation we are undergoing – ‘neoskilling’ in short. Neoskilling is holistic and beyond formal classroom training, requiring a mental metamorphosis. It includes soft skills, cultural aspects and instills a higher-order thinking in individuals and groups in preparation for the ‘Workplace of the Future’.
Leaders must avoid a strategically Myopic, INtellectually IMpoverished, Ethically Challenged, obtuse management approach, ensuring that they do not fall into the MINIMEC trap as they undertake this journey. For influencers and policymakers, neoskilling helps in socially inclusive growth, taking digitization and its benefits beyond corporates to every section of the society and for employability.
This book offers a blueprint leveraging established management frameworks with new ideas and industry002D specific insights for neoskilling and lifelong learning.
