IIM Bangalore’s two-year MBA programme ranked among the top 50 global b-schools

25 September 2020: The Post Graduate Programme in Management, offered by IIM Bangalore, is ranked among the top 50 in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Masters in Management (MiM) Rankings. IIM Bangalore has been placed 35th globally, with a score of 67.7 out of 100. The programme scored notably well on the parameter of alumni outcomes (94.9). This indicates the success of its alumni on the career front. IIM Bangalore performed amongst the top 24% globally out of 148 programmes.

IIMB’s one-year full-time MBA programme has been ranked 54th in the QS Global MBA rankings for 2020. IIM Bangalore performed amongst the top 21% globally out of 258 programmes.

In a statement on the 2020 QS rankings, QS CEO Nunzio Quacquarelli, said, “Whether it is companies seeking to distribute Covid-19 vaccines, or sectors such as e-commerce, which are experiencing rapid growth since the start of the pandemic, companies around the world are hiring talent specialised in supply chain management.” He added, “Like the growth in data analytics, this is an emerging career path for the next decade. At QS, we have expanded our series of business masters rankings to include the most sought-after career specialisations.”

The QS rankings evaluate business schools’ performance relative to their key missions, whilst accounting for what matters most for prospective students. The core metrics of the ranking include employability (71.3), entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes (94.9), return on investment (59.8), thought leadership (71.5) and diversity.

On the diversity front, Indian B-schools have not been given a score.

In addition to the above metrics, the ranking has also considered the reputation of business schools from the perspective of nearly 37,000 global employers and more than 34,000 global academics.
