The start-up pre-incubation program commenced by onboarding 31 start-ups from across the country
15 May 2020, Bengaluru: In the wake of the prevailing COVID-19 situation, IIM Bangalore’s start-up and incubation hub NSRCEL inaugurated its flagship program ‘Launchpad’ online. The program commenced on May 04, 2020, welcoming 31 ventures for a two-month-long program out of the 280+ applications originally received.
NSRCEL’s Launchpad was previously conducted offline for 13 cohorts, while this is the first online edition. So far, 400+ start-ups have been part of this pre-incubation program at NSRCEL. The 14th Cohort of Launchpad comprises start-ups from varied industries like Fintech, Ed-tech, Agri-tech, SaaS, FMCG, Cyber-tech and E-commerce from across India.
The two-month-long Launchpad program is designed to provide rigorous monitoring, one-on-one mentoring, workshops and networking sessions using video conferencing. Start-ups are given exclusive access to workshops on finding their first 100 customers, communication, business model canvas, among others—all specially designed for an early-stage start-up to be pitch ready. At the end of two months, these ventures will be provided with an opportunity to pitch for incubation at NSRCEL.
This cohort of entrepreneurs is a blend of first-time entrepreneurs, women founders and student-led start-ups. Many of these ventures have also been recognized in their respective fields with prestigious awards previously and now have joined Launchpad to take their start-ups to the next level.
