Submission deadline for the global summit themed, ‘Sustainable Human Resource Management in the Age of Disruption’, has been extended to 22 September 2025

5 August, 2025, Bengaluru: IIMB will host the 6th edition of the Human Resources International Conference (HRIC), to be organized by the Human Resources Division of the Academy of Management (AOM), from April 9–11, 2026. The academic gathering, previously held in China, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa, is set to bring together scholars, practitioners, and doctoral students to reflect on the future of HR in an era defined by technological transformation and workplace disruption.

The theme for the 2026 edition is ‘Sustainable Human Resource Management in the Age of Disruption’, with an emphasis on the profound and evolving impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on work and workforces. The conference aims to reimagine HRM practices that respond not only to the opportunities presented by technological advancement but also to the human and ethical challenges they pose.

Submissions are invited from academics, industry professionals, and doctoral students across a range of formats, including papers, posters, symposia, and professional development workshops, that explore the conference’s central theme and its diverse implications.

  • Extended abstracts should be a maximum of 1000 words (excluding tables, figures, and references) attached only in PDF format.
  • Poster submission abstracts are limited to 300 words. Researchers must focus on their research question and the aim of the proposed study.
  • Symposia and workshop proposals should be a maximum of 500 words and include the following:
  • Title
  • Names of organiser(s)
  • Potential participants – including presenters as well as those interested in attending
  • Topic/theme
  • Structure/Format, including any specific space or room requirements
  • Purpose/value/aim
  • To preserve anonymity, author names should be excluded from the header/footer or the body.

The colloquium/workshop will comprise a feedback session with peers and senior academics, a seminar on a topic of relevance to doctoral students, and an interactive panel session focused on publishing.

To apply for the Doctoral Colloquium and Junior Faculty Development Workshop, participants must develop and submit a summary proposal of their doctoral research/working paper (approximately 1000 words). The final submission date is 22 September 2025 (Extended).
