Organised training on “Enhanced Methods of Dry Fish Processing” in association with Fisheries College and Coastal Development Authority for fisherwomen in the district. The training focused on hygienic production of dry fish in sun dried method and other methods of drying with the use of racks, hybrid machine, solar drying machine.

Prepared proposal for organising training in seafood handling, preservation, processing and value addition through fisheries college and agriculture department under the PMFME scheme. The project is under implementation.

Organised training for fisherwomen on ‘Health and Hygiene Awareness” with Fisheries College.

Prepared skill training plan for revival of handloom in the district in association with Kadike Trust. We are trying to raise funds for skill upgradation training of 14 young weavers.

Organised one day awareness programme about skill training for 25 jail inmates in association with District Jail and Karnataka German Technical Training Institute (KGTTI). Organised an introductory session on assistant electrician job role and conducted soft skills. The jail inmates and the authorities were very impressed with the program and invited to organise more soft skills training in the jail. The authorities have ensured to connect the jail inmates with KGTTI for skill training upon their release so that the inmates find employment opportunities and do not become habitual offenders.

Organised Study Tour to CFTRI for 15 food-based entrepreneurs in association with CEDOK. Organised fruitful interaction between the authorities and the entrepreneurs.

Actively involved in implementation of entrepreneurship trainings in the district with CEDOK.

Compiled success stories of 35 entrepreneurs in the districts.

Prepared District Skill Development Plan. My suggestion to inculcate soft skills training in government schools was appreciated by the Deputy Commissioner and I was asked to provide training plan to start the project on pilot basis. The same will possibly be implemented in the academic year 2022-23 (the reason for lag being the pandemic).
