FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON BLENDED LEARNING AND MOOC CREATION – September 2022
IIMBx is the digital learning initiative founded by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore on the philosophy that quality education must be made accessible and affordable for all aspiring learners. IIMBx was founded in 2014 in partnership with edX - a not-for-profit online initiative of Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Led by IIMB faculty, IIMBx uses digital learning tools to enable anytime, anywhere learning.
Operating on the edX platform, IIMBx offers MOOCs and Micro Master programs in a wide range of disciplines to a worldwide student body. Committed to digital learning, IIMB is one of the national coordinators for SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active–Learning for Young Aspiring Mind), a MOOC-based learning initiative by the Government of India. IIMBx also offers customized courses and professional certifications to professionals and partner organizations through its eponymous digital platform IIMBx.
IIMBx has been conducting Faculty Development Programs on Blended Learning to enable instructors to design their curriculum to suit the requirements of a hybrid teaching and learning setup. With 17 FDPs conducted over the past 7 years, IIMBx FDPs have helped thousands of teachers to transform the learning experience of their students by adapting right interactive techniques.
This time, IIMBx has designed its FDP with one-day in-campus Blended Learning Workshop followed by seven weeks of online modules on How to Create Your MOOC through its online course- MOOC ON MOOC: A Digital Learning Playbook.
