IIM Bangalore’s Career Development Services hosts the ‘HR Business Conclave’ on 12th July
The theme of the conclave was ‘Value Creating HR: Innovative Best Practices in Talent Sustainability and Employee Experience’
13 July, 2023, Bengaluru: As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of IIM Bangalore, the Career Development Services (CDS) team of the institute hosted the ‘HR Business Conclave’ on 12th July 2023, themed on: ‘Value Creating HR: Innovative Best Practices in Talent Sustainability and Employee Experience’.
The event was a learning intervention for HR leaders who aspire to add value to their organizations through best practice learning and sharing. Most of the conclave was conducted in a ‘bistro-format’ to aid group learning.
Post Covid, HR leaders in organizations have been playing proactive roles in driving initiatives related to business and talent sustainability, innovative practices and people processes, and use of technology for workforce development, performance and engagement. As the nature and future of work change due to digitization, automation and talent demographics, HR leaders are becoming game changers, holding positions of strategic influence in shaping the organizations of tomorrow. The conclave included discussions relevant to such developments and transformations.
Prof. Debolina Dutta, Chairperson, Career Development Services and faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area of IIMB, delivered the welcome address. Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, also addressed the participants, highlighting the relevance of such a meet. Arvind Soundarajan, Senior Manager, Human Resources, IIMB, was also part of the activities of the event.
The talk on ‘Innovative Labor Economics Approach’ was delivered by Sreekanth K Arimanithaya, Global Talent and Enablement Services Leader, EY Global Delivery Services; ‘Hyper Personalization of Employee Experience’ by Somnath Baishya, CHRO, Tesco India; ‘Metaverse for Learning & Development’ by Prabhanjan Kulkarni, Vice President & Head HR, Redbus; ‘A Multi-pronged Organizational Transformation Exercise in Becoming a Great Place to Work’ by Devika Tandon, Director HR and CHRO, Hilti India, and the talk on ‘Technology-enabled Employee Mental Wellbeing’ was delivered by Shweta Mohanty, CHRO, SAP India.
There were two panel discussions. The first one titled, ‘Best Practices in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion’, featured Shika Gupta, Director, Talent Management, Schneider; Sohini Sinha, Head, Talent Management, Tata Electronics and Nayana Udupi, Marketing Associate, Thoughtworks. It was moderated by Tina Vinod, Consultant, DE&I. The panel discussion on ‘Innovative Practices & People Processes’ included D Anuradha, Sr. GM (HRD) & Head – Talent Management, TVS Motors and Praveen Kamath Kumbla, GM and Global Head, Talent Transformation.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Ganapathy Lakshman Sharma, Sr. Manager, CDS, which was followed by networking and campus visit by the participants.
