DCAL and Apollo Hospitals jointly conduct workshop on ‘Design Thinking on Future of Patient Safety’ on 22nd February
Workshop advocates shared commitment to shaping the future of patient safety through innovative design thinking methodologies
29 February, 2024, Bengaluru: The Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL) at IIM Bangalore, jointly with Apollo Hospitals, conducted a workshop on, ‘Design Thinking on Future of Patient Safety’ on 22nd February 2024 aimed at exploring innovative solutions to enhance patient safety in healthcare systems. Grounded in the principles of design thinking, participants engaged in a collaborative and creative process to address the challenges and explore opportunities in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety in healthcare settings.
The one-day workshop saw healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders immersing themselves in the principles of design thinking, leveraging empathy, creativity and collaboration to address the complex challenges surrounding patient safety. The workshop featured more than five domain expert invited speakers and included an expert panel discussion on, ‘Design Thinking in Healthcare’.
Through the workshop, the participants gained a renewed sense of purpose and a shared commitment to shaping the future of patient safety through innovative design thinking methodologies. The event served as a catalyst for ongoing collaboration and action, highlighting the collective efforts needed to drive meaningful change in healthcare practices and ensure the highest standards of patient safety.
