Vikasana grants merit scholarships to 198 children of the IIMB community

IIMB Vikasana Republic Day scholarship event held on 23 January 2025
23 January, 2025, Bengaluru: Vikasana, the student-run social impact club of IIM Bangalore, organized the annual IIMB Vikasana Republic Day scholarship event on 23 January, 2025, with the aim of providing merit-based scholarships to the children of non-teaching staff members of the IIMB community. Financial assistance was extended to 198 young achievers, covering a portion of the school fees for students up to Class 12.
IIMB Director Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan; Prof. M Jayadev, Dean Administration; Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, Faculty guide for Vikasana, Finance & Accounting area; Prof. Manaswini Bhalla, Chairperson, PGP & PGPBA; and Komala Devi, Administrative Officer, Student Affairs & Hostel, attended the event.
Prof. RT Krishnan addressed the gathering of faculty members, staff, students and young awardees saying, “Study hard, and know that we stand ready to support you every step of the way”. He thanked Vikasana for its commendable effort in building and enabling social impact through key welfare initiatives. To the young awardees seated in the audience Prof. Jayadev remarked, “Remember that there is no substitute for hard work. You are all off to a bright start, and I am certain you will continue to achieve greater things”.
The certificates were later handed out by the faculty and staff members.
