IIMB-CCGC Ethical Trading Initiative – Workshop on Engaging with Business on Human Rights
12 DECEMBER 2016, BENGALURU: On 13th December, Tuesday, the Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship (CCGC) at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, in collaboration with ETI and Partners in Change (PiC), will host ‘Ethical Trading Initiative – Workshop on Engaging with Business on Human Rights’ at Lecture theatre P11 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The morning programme will discuss efforts to promote human rights through identifying and reflecting on appropriate ways of bringing business into programming and advocacy work. It will also update participants on important recent developments in the area of business and human rights.
The morning programme will be augmented by an afternoon programme arranged by Corporate Responsibility Watch, a rights-based civil society collective for greater corporate accountability. In this afternoon session, various pathways for critical engagement with business will be showcased, drawing on perspectives of human rights, social equity and transparency.
