Seven-year olds get an exciting learning platform

Sneha, Bharath

Founders Sneha and Bharath devise and deliver a creative curriculum supported by NSRCEL at IIMB

07 SEPTEMBER: Kutuki is a start-up comprising educators, musicians, artistes, storytellers and tech professionals who are passionate about bringing art and technology together to create engaging quality content for children below the age of seven in India.

The team comes with deep experience in understanding how children in this age group learn and using this experience, they have built a creative curriculum that addresses essential learning milestones for children in this age group.

Kutuki’s primary vision is to be the pre-eminent brand in the preschool content space, driven by their content engine and distributed omnichannel, which is a product mix of digital and physical (learning kits, toys, etc.).

Incubated in the Women Start-up Program by NSRCEL, the entrepreneurship and innovation centre at IIMB, Kutuki was founded in 2017 with a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) app by Sneha Sundaram and Bharath Bevinahally, London School of Economics and Indian School of Business alumni, who are also award-winning creative professionals. Their focus is to build an edutainment content engine that is culturally relevant and imparts learning through the medium of songs, stories, and books in English as well as other Indian languages.

Bharath says, “Our mission at Kutuki is to become every child’s partner in curiosity by creating contextualized, engaging, Indianized, and educational content that will cater to the children’s needs by leveraging technology.”

Kutuki’s curriculum includes animated stories, songs, and illustrated books on topics ranging from language to outer space.

The founders at Kutuki aim to create a community of parents, educators, and children, and continuously learn from them to provide the best possible learning experiences to Indian children in this age group.
