Projects led/ initiated in district

  • Soft skills programme - Proposed and executed training of 25 adolescent girls in soft skill training where the girls were taught basic spoken English and were also prepared to face interviews. 

  • Toy making programme- Started to promote self-employment for 25 girls in Kheda, Rudrapur. The rationale was to mobilize the drop-out girls or girls who find it difficult to get out of their homes to find employment. 

  • Digital marketing course for the marginalized students- Proposed a digital marketing course to be introduced for targeting 50 graduate unemployed students from the marginalized sections.  

  • Monitoring application - Proposed an application for better monitoring of all short-term skill development courses at one platform for convenience of DSC. 

  • Fish Gear Inputs Training - Submitted a proposal for the 25 women from fish farmer families to get trained in making of fish gear inputs like Happa, Drag Nets, cast nets, hand nets, and other fish gear inputs to create an additional source of income for fish farmers families and reduce the dependence for buying of inputs from UP and an MOU to be signed with the Department of Fisheries to buy the products and help with the marketing of produce. 

  • Training proposal for the physically handicapped - Pilot program to target 25 educated physically handicapped for training to promote self-employment or free lancing.
