WEBINAR: Start-up Investing Post-COVID: What would the last man standing do?

04 June 2020, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore’s Alumni Office will host a webinar on ‘Start-up Investing Post-COVID: What would the last man standing do?’ on June 05, 2020. Prof. Thillai Rajan, Department of Management Studies at IIT Madras and IIMB alum, will deliver the talk.

The Start-up landscape is going to be dramatically altered following the COVID-19 pandemic. A key question that is going to concern most start-up founders is the effect of COVID on the investment scenario. Prof. Thillai Rajan will outline the likely contours of how start-up investment would be in the coming months during the webinar.

Recently, Prof. Rajan co-founded YNOS Venture Engine to enhance the efficiency of early-stage venturing and innovation ecosystem in India. The YNOS technology platform helps early-stage entrepreneurs identify potential investors, estimate the valuation, and among other things, also help to understand the start-up landscape.

Prof. Rajan has produced and edited the Annual India Venture Capital and Private Equity Report for ten years. Recently, he has been instrumental in setting up the iVEIN Network, a consortium of IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Kozhikode to provide research leadership in innovation and venturing in India. He regularly publishes in top business dailies.

Previously, he has been a Chevening Gurukul Fellow at the London School of Economics, Endeavour Executive Fellow at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Sydney; and Fulbright Nehru Senior Fellow at the Harvard.
