3 February, 2026, Bengaluru: The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) will conduct Cohort V of the ‘Nurturing Future Leadership Program’ (NFLP), supported by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to be held from 16th to 20th March 2026 at the IIM Bangalore (Bannerghatta Road) campus. The Programme Director of the 5th cohort of NFLP is Prof. Sushanta K Mishra, Chairperson, Centre for Teaching & Learning, Research & Publications and C-DOCTA, Editor-in-Chief, IIMB Management Review, and faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area.
Programme Objective and Structure
The five-day residential programme is aimed at helping faculty members in the early stages of their careers to become effective academic leaders. The sessions will cover diverse facets of effective leadership, offering a rich blend of discussions focused on self-management, leadership styles, strategic planning, effective communication, change management and other relevant topics. These will help equip the participants with skills in decision-making, problem-solving, governance and institutional benchmarking.
There will be five sessions per day, to be conducted by IIMB faculty using lectures (including video-based), in-class activities, case discussions and movie sessions. To foster holistic growth, the programme will also include components on yoga, mindfulness and cultural immersion. On successful completion of the programme, the candidates will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Eligibility Criteria
Participants must be full-time faculty at centrally funded institutes, state public universities/institutes and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Please note that as per the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Education, the first preference will be given to faculty members from Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) for about 50 percent of the total number of seats. The second line of preference will be given to faculty from the state public universities and about two to four seats will go to faculty from private HEIs.
Registration Process
Eligible faculty members from recognized institutions should be duly nominated by the Directors/Vice Chancellors/Heads of the Institution and should upload the nomination letter on the MMTTC portal (https://mmc.ugc.ac.in/).
