IMR Doctoral Conference (IMRDC) 2023 on February 3rd & 4th

IIMB Management Review (IMR) and the Office of the Doctoral Programme are organising the IMR Doctoral Conference (IMRDC) 2023 on the 3rd  & 4th of February 2023 at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). In its 14th year now, IMRDC is an annual benchmark event among the doctoral student community in Management and associated disciplines. At IMRDC 2023, we envisage a two-day programme of paper presentations; and invited talks, a panel discussion and a workshop by academic experts.

This year we have received close to 100 full paper submissions from leading management schools and universities across the country and international institutions as well. Ten papers, out of the 100 received, are selected for presentation at the conference through a rigorous review process by our Review Committee, with a dedicated discussant to critique each paper.

IMRDC 2023 will feature a Panel Discussion on Navigating an academic career: Insights from early-career academics and a Case Writing Workshop, in addition to two Keynote lectures.

As a pre-eminent doctoral colloquium, the objective is to encourage doctoral research and facilitate collaborative work among researchers from different institutions. We aim to provide a forum where insightful feedback from senior researchers and academicians can help improve the quality and rigour of doctoral student research. With the easing of restrictions around the Covid-19 pandemic, IMRDC 2023 will be held in physical mode at the IIMB campus, with a limited hybrid model to facilitate the online participation of invited speakers, doctoral students, and delegates.

The Conference Co-Chairs for IMRDC 2023 are Professor Apurva Sanaria (Organisational Behaviour & Human Resources Management, IIMB) and Professor Rajeev R Tripathi (Production & Operations Management, IIMB). The Conference Co-Hosts are Professor Jishnu Hazra, Editor-in-Chief, IIMB Management Review  and Professor Ananth Krishnamurthy, Chairperson, Doctoral Programme, IIMB.

The IMR Doctoral Conference continues to distinguish itself as a much-awaited event among India's doctoral community, commended by academics and participants for the thorough and constructive feedback provided through its “one exclusive discussant per paper” format.

We welcome the IIMB Community to participate in IMRDC 2023 and benefit from the rich insights the conference has to offer. We invite you to visit the Conference website at https://www.iimb.ac.in/imr-doctoral-conference for regular conference and schedule updates.
