IIMB reaffirms its global standing in QS EMBA World University Rankings 2025

IIMB reaffirms its global standing in QS EMBA World University Rankings 2025

As the only Indian B-school to figure in the top global 50, PGPEM builds on a 27-year legacy

30 April, 2025, Bengaluru: In the 2025 QS Executive MBA World University Rankings, IIM Bangalore’s two-year MBA for Working Professionals – the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), has retained its standing as the only Indian business school ranked among the top 50 globally. The programme is ranked 50th worldwide, 10th in the Asia-Pacific region, and continues to be placed first in India among 205 Executive MBA programmes assessed across 50 countries.

The PGPEM earned a score of 87.1 out of 100 in the 'Career Outcomes' indicator, well above the global average of 59.8, which measures ‘graduates promoted’ and ‘mean salary increase’. This was complemented by an 'Employer Reputation' score of 70.4 against a global average of 49.2, and 'Thought Leadership' at 54.9 versus a global average of 45.0. The QS methodology additionally considers factors such as ‘Executive Profile’ and ‘Diversity’ as performance lenses, where PGPEM continues to demonstrate strength.

With a legacy that spans 27 years, PGPEM is designed for mid- and senior-level working professionals, offering a rigorous and flexible management education without requiring participants to pause their careers. Classes are held on weekends to enable real-time application of classroom learnings in the workplace.

“PGPEM is an extremely competitive and rigorous pathway for professional growth. Management problems continue to demand a well-rounded approach that is informed by the best practices of a variety of industry functions. It is why we take great pride in curating this diverse cohort. Its consistent leadership and global performance in capacity-building among executives is a testament to the innovation in our academic approach”, said Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIMB.

The QS EMBA Ranking follows a strong year for IIMB across other QS global ranking quadrants. In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025: Business and Management Studies, IIMB placed among the top 50 worldwide, and is one of only two Indian B-schools to do so. The Institute also secured top positions in India across other formats, including the one-year fulltime MBA for experienced professionals – EPGP, in the Global MBA rankings, and the two-year fulltime Post Graduate Programme in Management – PGP, in the Master in Management (MiM) rankings for 2025.
