Projects led/ initiated in district

  • Institutionalization of DSC -Activation of District Skill Committee, South Garo Hills.Drafted the District Skill Development Plan for 2020 and 2021 in coordination with the District Skill Committee of South Garo Hills. 

  • Collectivization for upscaling farmers -Developed the Block wise Action Plans for Farmers’ Collectivization for Upscaling of Production and Marketing Systems (FOCUS) program of the Govt of Meghalaya. 

  • Capacity building in border area -Initiated the Skilling for Border Area Development Project (BADP) in convergence with the South Garo Hills District Administration for livelihood-based skilling in border villages of the district across sectors. 

  • Vocationalisation of school education -Conducted awareness workshops across various schools and colleges of South Garo concerning the importance of vocational education and soft skill development. 

  • Aspirational mapping to access demand -Conducted an Aspirational Mapping of Youth (in Educational Institutions). 

  • Value chain development - Coordinated the convergence of several public and private stakeholders for promoting Promotion of Local Entrepreneurs in cashew processing, bamboo craft, Wood carving, food processing and tourism.
