Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIMB inaugurates the Winter Research Methodology Workshop 2025

01 December, 2025, Bangalore: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) inaugurated its Winter Research Methodology Workshop 2025, held today in Classroom N-001. The workshop brings together scholars, doctoral students, and aspiring researchers for an intensive multi-day program aimed at strengthening research capabilities across disciplines.
Prof. Dinesh Kumar, Director In-charge, IIMB, in his inaugural address, emphasized the importance of rigorous academic research in an increasingly AI-driven world. He highlighted that developing high-quality research papers involves navigating many methodological checklists and best practices, an effort well supported by the workshop’s expert-led sessions.
“It is essential that every research paper clearly discloses the ethical use of AI tools to editors and publishers,” Prof. Kumar emphasized, highlighting the profound impact emerging technologies are having on the research ecosystem. He further added that participants would gain significantly from the insights and mentorship of senior faculty members who will guide them through each stage of developing a rigorous research paper.
The Winter Research Methodology Workshop 2025 is designed to equip participants with tools and frameworks that enhance the quality, credibility, and impact of their scholarly work. The program includes lectures, round tables, hands-on sessions, and discussions led by IIMB faculty and researchers.
The event reaffirms IIMB’s commitment to advancing research excellence and fostering a vibrant culture of inquiry and innovation.
The Programme Directors are Prof. Sushanta Kumar Mishra, Chairperson of Research & Publications, Centre for Teaching & Learning and C-DOCTA, Editor-in-Chief of IIMB Management Review, and faculty of the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area, and Prof. Deepak Chandrashekar of the Strategy area.
