IIMB RERI

Kritika, Hariharasudhan & Shanmugaraja built a demand-supply model for a real estate conglomerate and tackled a Q&A round, which helped them beat 280 other teams to finish second at the national level

07 January, 2022, Bengaluru: A team of three students from the 2020-22 batch of IIM Bangalore’s two-year fulltime MBA, the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), has been declared the national runner-up of the Lodha Group’s Real Estate Case Competition – Soar For More 2021. The students in the team are Kritika Mittal, Hariharasudhan Ayyappan and Shanmugaraja Selvakumaran.

The win also resulted in Pre Placement Interviews (PPIs) being offered to the team members, who beat 280 other teams to finish second at the national level. They had to evaluate market entry options for a real estate developer. They looked at quantitative and qualitive factors and built a demand-supply model to present their recommendations. Kritika, Hariharasudhan and Shanmugaraja have taken the Real Estate elective offered at IIMB which gave them the know-how to tackle the Q&A round. Prof. Venkatesh Panchapagesan is the Chairperson of IIMB’s Real Estate Research Initiative (RERI) and offers the elective course.

RERI’s mission is to grow into a world-class Centre of Excellence that conducts scientific and interdisciplinary research on the Indian real estate sector. The research is published in leading academic and practitioner journals, and is expected to provide guidance and policy prescriptions to government and industry stakeholders on major issues relating to the sector.
