EPGP Seminar Series: Talk on Strategic Planning, Management, & Leadership: Global Health in the Indian Context on July 29

The EPGP Seminar Committee will host a virtual lecture by Dr Rakesh Kumar, Chief Advisor to Population Services International, India, at 3 pm on July 29th, 2021.

Dr Rakesh Kumar leads the USAID-funded flagship Urban Health agenda in India. He has experience of working with the Government of India at senior policy-making levels, including in the Ministry of Health, ICMR, and UN agencies. Trained as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), he has been a member of the  Indian Administrative Service (IAS) since 1992. He has been a recipient of several prestigious fellowships and awards. His seminal achievements include establishment of 6 new AIIMS in India, successfully leading the polio eradication and tetanus elimination in India, architecting the world’s largest immunization program - Mission Indradhanush.
