11 September, 2024, Bengaluru: Three students from the 2024-‘25 batch of the 1-Year full-time MBA Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP)—Ram Krishan Pandey, Bharatvaaj Ravi, and Ashish Kumar—claimed the joint Runners-Up spot in the NITI Gear Shift Challenge, organized by NITI Aayog, in collaboration with IIM Bangalore, Smart Freight Centre India, CALSTART/Drive to Zero, and WRI India.
In a strategic initiative to advance zero-emission truck (ZET) adoption in India, the hackathon aimed to foster innovative business models for the adoption of ZETs in India, addressing the nation's pressing economic and environmental challenges.
Competing against 3,428 registrants via UNSTOP, their journey involved multiple rounds of submissions, mentorship, and fine-tuning of their proposed business model.
In round 1, students submitted their preliminary business model, which addressed specific technical, operational and financial barriers, leveraging high-level strategies and research.
After advancing to round 2, the team presented detailed business models with a comprehensive implementation roadmap, supported by primary and secondary research. On September 5, they competed against the top 10 teams, showcasing their vision for the future of clean mobility in the Indian Freight Forwarding industry. They then headed to Delhi for the E-FAST Summit on September 10, hosted by NITI Aayog, where they were awarded in the presence of influential leaders from the automobile and clean mobility sectors.
