IIMB to celebrate its 49th Foundation Day on 28th October 2022

22 OCTOBER, 2022: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will celebrate its 49th Foundation Day on 28th October 2022. The Foundation Day Lecture will be delivered by Ms Madhabi Puri-Buch, Chairperson, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), at 11 am on 28th October. Ms Puri-Buch will speak on ‘Data and Technology in the Capital Market’.

Members of the Board of Governors, Director of IIMB Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, deans, faculty, alumni, students and staff will be present to celebrate the institute’s Foundation Day and usher in the Golden Jubilee year of IIMB.

The institute wears a festive look; and applause and cheers reverberate as sports competitions and cultural events get underway to ring in the celebrations.

On 27th October, scholarships will be announced by the alumni, the Staff Recreation Committee (SRC) has planned an afternoon of cultural programmes.

The Foundation Day, on 28th October, will begin with the Director’s address, followed by the Foundation Day Lecture, and announcement of Long Service Awards for faculty and staff.

On an exciting trajectory of growth and impact, IIMB will soon announce several new initiatives for the Golden Jubilee year.
