Experts discuss Innovation & Entrepreneurship Challenges and Lessons for India & Japan in webinar on Sep 24

19 SEPTEMBER, 2021: The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC) at IIM Bangalore will host a conversation between Prof. Michael A. Cusumano, SMR Distinguished Professor and Deputy Dean at the MIT Sloan School of Management, and Prof. Ramesh Venkateswaran, Chairman, Board of Governors at IIT Palakkad, on ‘Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Challenges & Lessons for India & Japan’, at the ‘Tatsujin-Speak’ webinar on 24th September at 6.00 PM IST.

In the hour-long webinar, Professor Cusumano will speak about his experience studying and promoting entrepreneurship in Japan, particularly while serving as a Special Vice President and Dean of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Tokyo University of Science during 2015-2017.  He will briefly summarize key frameworks of the MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (MIT REAP) that highlight the difference between “innovation capacity” and “entrepreneurial capacity”, and how to close the gap by building an ecosystem around five stakeholders:  universities, government, entrepreneurs, risk capital, and corporations with an interest in new business development and corporate venturing.

The lecture will be live streamed on IIMB's YouTube page: https://youtu.be/PxHBzoqu8CE
