Mizuho India Japan Study Centre to host its 5th Foundation Day on the theme ‘Explore Research Support’ on 16th September

The event, to be held on the hybrid mode, will include addresses by eminent speakers from academia, industry, policy making areas; and release of publications by MIJSC

08 September, 2022, Bengaluru: The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC), an IIMB Centre of Excellence, will host its Foundation Day on the theme, ‘Explore Research Support’, on 16th September 2022 (Friday), from 5.30 pm onwards, in Classroom N001, on the IIMB campus. The event celebrating the centre’s 5th Foundation Day would be held on a hybrid mode.

The event would include addresses by Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore; Prof. D Krishna Sundar, Chairperson, Mizuho India-Japan Study Centre; Sanjay Kumar Verma, Indian Ambassador to Japan; Nakane Tsutomu, Consulate General of Japan – Bengaluru; Masahiko Kato, Mizuho President; Toshihiro Mizutani, Director General of JETRO, Bengaluru; Prof. Tarun Panda, Dean – IIT Hyderabad; Prof. H. S. Prabhakar, Japanese Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and other eminent speakers from academia, industry and policy making areas. The event would also include release of publications by MIJSC.

The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre aims to promote understanding of Japan in India and India in Japan through research, teaching and policy outreach efforts. The centre facilitates collaborative initiatives among academia, industry and government agencies of both the countries to work on areas of mutual interest.
