22 December, 2019, Bengaluru: ICON, the consulting club of students of the two-year MBA programme at IIM Bangalore, will be hosting the second edition of Rubicon, the annual consulting festival, on January 25 (Saturday), 2020. This one-day event aims to give students an insight into the fascinating world of consulting and the associated challenges, before they actually step into it. The event will feature a case competition, a panel discussion, and a couple of on-spot events that will give the students an overview of the world of consulting for society and business.

Rubicon’s flagship event is ‘Crown Jewel’, an international case competition, in association with Zoomcar, India’s leading car rental start-up. ‘Crown Jewel’, with participation from top business schools and engineering colleges across the globe, will see students solve a real-life problem faced by Zoomcar. This will provide students with firsthand exposure to solving on-ground business problems using their learnings so far, thereby helping them develop a more pragmatic approach towards business issues.

The event will be followed by a panel discussion featuring professionals from diverse backgrounds, and a case simulation event where participants can learn about what happens in a live case assignment and understand the nuances of the trade. There would also be on-spot events focusing on increasing student interaction with the world of consulting and helping them develop the requisite toolkit of skills for the future.
