Webinar on March 05, by PGP alumnus, on adoption in India

The Alumni Relations Office of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will host a webinar on ‘Reimagining Adoption’, by Avinash Kumar, an alumnus of the PGP Class of 1994, at 7 pm on March 05. The webinar will focus on broad overview of adoption ecosystem in India, legal processes, positive adoption language, and the role that each one of us has in enabling adoption.

Avinash is the founder of Families of Joy Foundation, an NGO set up by families-in-adoption and other like-minded people to facilitate safe and legal adoption, bust myths and offer resources and services across the adoption life cycle. They have been able to influence policies on adoption, develop a network of certified Adoption Counsellors across 7 locations in India (a first in the country), set up a Counselling Center with WCD Ministry and establish a National Repository of Families in adoption.
