As part of 10th-year reunion celebrations, the PGP Class of 2009 at IIMB donate INR 52 lakhs, a part of which has been used to fund an ambulance for use by the campus community

19 November, 2020: The Alumni Relations Office at IIM Bangalore organised a simple and special event this evening to highlight the contribution of the Class of 2009 of the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), the two-year fulltime MBA programme of IIMB, to their alma mater. The event included the inauguration of an ambulance. Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIMB, Professor Rajendra K Bandi, Dean, Administration, Parthasarathy S, Head, Alumni Relations, Suresh K, Head, Development, and Parul Bajaj, Program Manager, Tata Trusts and alumna representing the PGP Class of 2009, participated in the event. Due to COVID-related restrictions, just a few persons attended the event on campus.

As part of their 10th-year reunion celebrations, the PGP Class of 2009 donated INR 52 lakhs to IIMB. A part of the contribution was used to fund an ambulance for use by the IIMB community. In these challenging times, this heart-warming gesture has won much appreciation. The balance amount is being earmarked for appropriate naming rights on the campus. In an email message, the PGP Class of 2009, said they felt privileged to fund an ambulance that can be useful, especially now. “We hope this will motivate other batches to give back in different ways,” they wrote in an email.
