IIMB’s R&P office to host seminar titled ‘Employment in India: Aggregate Demand and Structural Transformations’ on June 07
May 29, 2019, Bengaluru: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIM Bangalore will host a research seminar titled: ‘Employment in India: Aggregate Demand and Structural Transformations’, on June 07 (Friday), 2019, from 02.30 pm, at Classroom C11. The talk will be delivered by Sunanda Sen, Economist.
Sunanda Sen is currently researching on international finance, development and economic history. She has earlier been a Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Visiting Professor at the universities of Barcelona, Grenoble, Surinam and Paris, apart from being guest lecturer in various universities and research institutes within and outside India. She has been a fellow of different colleges at Cambridge University, a post-doctoral fellow at Yale University and a recipient of Joan Robinson Memorial Lectureship at Cambridge. She has also worked with international organizations which include UNCTAD, ILO, ESCAP, and South Commission. She was elected a National Fellow of the Indian Council of Social Sciences and a Distinguished Academic Visitor, Queens College, Cambridge.
Sunanda Sen has published several books including Colonies and Empire: India 1890-1914 (1992); Financial Fragility, Debt and Economic Reforms (edited) (1996); Finance and Development (1998), and many more.
