29 October, 2020, Bengaluru: The Alumni Office of IIM Bangalore will host a webinar titled ‘Challenges and opportunities during and after COVID 19’ (with a special reference to Manufacturing and MSMEs), on October 30 (Friday), 2020, at 03.00 pm. The webinar will be led by IIMB alumnus (PGP 1977 batch) Shailendra Goswami, Chairman and Managing Director of Pushkaraj Engineering Enterprises Pvt. Ltd.

About the speaker

Shailendra Goswami is currently Chairman and Managing Director of Pushkaraj Engineering Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. and Coherent Networking Solutions Pvt. Ltd. He is an alumnus of COEP (1974) and IIM Bangalore, and excels in Marketing, Finance and Systems. He has worked in the corporate sector for 15 years (1978-1992) and started his own ventures in 1992. Shailendra has been instrumental in helping MSMEs in setting up joint ventures in India by collaborating with overseas technology companies. He has been helping MSMEs on business strategies, creating profitable business models, finding partners for technology upgradation and installing productivity improvement measures.
City of Yokohama has signed an MoU with his group for promoting Indo-Japan ties for MSMEs in India. His group has also signed MoUs with companies in Israel for promoting advanced technologies from Israel for manufacturing industries, agriculture farming and dairy processing plants. He has been a convener, speaker and panellist for various panel discussions.
He has been helping the Indian industry in creating export opportunities for products and services through his network in 16 countries. He had been a member of the Executive Committees of MCCIA and the Indo Japanese Business Council and steered the Auto Component Committee as its Chairman.
He has a rich 42-year experience in industry and the corporate world contributing to building business strategies, creating value and future preparedness for the industry, academia and society at large.
