Centre for Software and IT Management at IIMB to co-host India Software Product Management Summit with International Software Product Management Association on 20 – 22 February 2026

Global product leaders and practitioners to convene under the theme ‘Building a Product Nation: Agile, AI-Driven, Accountable’

19 February, 2026, Bengaluru: The Centre for Software and IT Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore, in collaboration with the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA), will co-host the 8th India Software Product Management Summit from 20 - 22 February 2026 at the IIMB campus.

Under the theme ‘Building a Product Nation: Agile, AI-Driven, Accountable’, the 2026 edition will bring together product management professionals, industry leaders, academics, and technology experts from across the globe to exchange insights on emerging trends, innovation pathways, and best practices shaping the future of product ecosystems.

For more updates and registration details, visit: https://spmsummit.org/india.

The conference is chaired by Prof. S. Sadagopan, Founder Director, IIIT Bangalore, Summit Chair and Chairman, ISPMA India; Mr. Venkatesh Mahadevan - FBCS, Fellow, ISPMA India; and Prof. Haragopal Mangipudi, Adjunct Faculty, IIM Bangalore and alumnus of PGSEM 2001.

Prof. Mayank Kumar, Information Systems area and Chairperson, CSITM at IIM Bangalore, said, “India has exceptional product talent, but to truly become a Product Nation, we must strengthen our research capabilities, execution muscle and institutionalize accountability. At the Software Product Management Summit India, we will explore how agile governance, AI-powered insights, and outcome-driven product thinking can help Indian organizations compete confidently on the global stage”.

Prof. S. Sadagopan, Summit Chair and Founder Director, IIIT-Bangalore and Chairman of ISPMA India, said, “India stands at a defining moment in its product journey. With the Software Product Management Summit India, themed ‘Building a Product Nation: Agile, AI-Driven and Accountable,’ we aim to catalyze a new era where Indian product leaders don’t just build for scale, but build with purpose, responsibility, and global impact. This summit is about shaping the mindset, capability, and accountability required to lead the next wave of innovation”.

Since 2019, the summit has served as a premier platform in India for advancing discourse and practice in Software Product Management (SPM). The annual convening brings together academics, industry leaders and professionals to cover a wide range of Software Product Management (SPM) topics through keynotes, Deep workshops, panel discussions, fireside chats, presentations on industry best practices and success stories. As in the past, the summit will feature research paper presentations and a student case competition that underscores the active involvement of academics and students, fostering a diverse and vibrant community of future thought leaders and professionals in the field. This year, participants will also benefit from dedicated industry and student tracks, pre-conference workshops, and the ISPMA Excellence Awards, alongside opportunities for networking and professional engagement.

“I’ve learned over the years that organizations don’t struggle because of a lack of technology — they struggle because nobody really owns the product outcome. AI is amplifying that gap. If accountability and product thinking aren’t in place, intelligence just makes the chaos faster. The theme ‘Building a Product Nation: Agile, AI-Driven and Accountable’ is therefore timely. With conversations like the AI Impact forum in Delhi pushing the agenda forward, the real work now is cultural — helping teams move from delivering features to standing behind value. That’s the kind of practitioner conversation this Summit enables”, said Venkatesh Mahadevan, Summit Co-Chair and Fellow-British Computer Society, Fellow-ISPMA India.

Prof. Haragopal Mangipudi, Chairman of ISPMA, said, “SPM Summit, which is hosted by ISPMA across four continents every year, has evolved as the definitive platform for industry and academia to shape the product management agenda for the world. Great to see India making rapid strides in building impactful products and product management talent at scale, both for India and the world”.
