18 January, 2022, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will co-host the 4th India Software Product Management Summit, with the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA), on January 21st and 22nd. The theme for this year’s summit, which will be an online event, is ‘Building safe, secure and smart digital products & platforms’.
The Centre for Software and Information Technology Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore and the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) have been co-hosting the India Software Product Management Summit since 2019. The summit brings together academics, industry leaders and professionals and covers a spectrum of Software Product Management (SPM) topics through lectures, workshops, panel discussions, fireside chats, academic papers, presentations on industry best practices and success stories.

Professor Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director, IIM Bangalore, says the SPM Summit 2022 promises to be a great learning event with outstanding speakers, panels and workshops. Emphasizing the growing role of software products, Professor S. Sadagopan, Summit Co-Chair and Chairman of ISPMA India, says: “Several events, such as the listing of FreshDesk Billion Dollar IPO, the fact that India had 41 unicorns in 2021 and three more within the first week of 2022, our country’s ability to vaccinate 1.5 billion people in 12 months and create an app which enables vaccination planning and certificate distribution, all point to the importance of software for the Indian economy.”
