IIM Bangalore to host 51st Convocation on 27 March

Ms Vibha Padalkar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Life, will be the Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation address

27 February, 2026, Bengaluru: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore will host its 51st Convocation on 27th March 2026. Ms Vibha Padalkar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Life, will be the Chief Guest on the occasion and deliver the Convocation address.

Degrees will be awarded to the students of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme and the MBA programmes – the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGPBA) and Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP). Students of the Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) will receive the Master of Management Studies (Public Policy) degree. One PhD scholar will be given the Institute award for excellence in research, while gold medals will be awarded for Best All Round Performance, First Rank and Second Rank.

During the ceremony, Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairperson, Board of Governors, IIM Bangalore, will share his message. Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Director In-charge, IIM Bangalore, will highlight some of the achievements and accomplishments of the Institute.

About the Chief Guest: Ms Vibha Padalkar is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Life and is widely regarded as one of India’s most respected leaders in the financial services sector. Under her leadership, HDFC Life has demonstrated strong growth, innovation and resilience, with a sustained focus on customer-centricity, governance and long-term value creation.

She has played a pivotal role in strengthening HDFC Life’s position as a leading life insurance company in India, overseeing key strategic initiatives, digital transformation efforts and the company’s successful public listing.
