IIM Bangalore alum Raja Rajamannar to be felicitated at the Marketing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2023

The Distinguished Alumnus Award winner from IIMB will be part of the ceremony to honor phenomenal marketing innovators  

9 May, 2023, Bengaluru: Raja Rajamannar, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore’s two-year full-time MBA: Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), batch of 1983-85, is one of the invitees of the Marketing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2023, to be held on 7th June 2023 (Wednesday), from 5.30 pm to 9 pm. In 2018, Raja Rajamannar won the Distinguished Alumnus Award (DAA) of IIM Bangalore.

The Marketing Hall of Fame is a ceremony to felicitate phenomenal marketing innovators. This year, the event will be hosted at the Horizon Media Global Headquarters in New York. The event will be a session of inspiration, learning and networking, open to all marketers. The inductees will also share their insights into the future of marketing in an unpredictable world. It will be an in-person event only and will not be streamed. 

At present, Raja Rajamannar is Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and President, Healthcare Business, Mastercard. He is responsible for building the Mastercard brand, driving business and advancing sustainable competitive edge for the company. He joined Mastercard in 2013, bringing with him more than 25 years of extensive experience. Before that, Rajamannar held a number of leadership roles for 15 years with Citigroup. He is also the author of Wall Street Journal bestseller ‘Quantum Marketing’.

Raja Rajamannar has been globally recognized for the innovative thinking and leadership in business transformation that he has brought to executive roles across industries. He was  adjudged the ‘WFA Global Marketer of the Year’, issued by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) in 2019. He was among the 'Billboard Top Branding Power Players' issued by Billboard in 2018. He has been named one of ‘World’s Most Influential CMOs’ by Forbes Magazine twice, ranking #9 on the publication’s list in 2017. He has also been included in the ‘Top 25 of iMedia’s Digital Innovators’ in the world and has been featured numerous times in the ‘Billboard Power 100’, an annual ranking of executive excellence and influence in the music industry. Adweek has named him one of the ‘Top 50 Most Tech Savvy CMOs in the World’ and one of the ‘Top 50 CMOs Leading Charge to Transformation’. He was also named one of ‘World’s Most innovative CMOs’ by Business Insider. In addition, Rajamannar has been a featured speaker several times at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He also holds a patent in the consumer packaged goods space.
