IIM Bangalore’s EPGP soars to #34 in FT MBA Rankings 2026
Strong gains in Career Progress and Value for Money reinforce one-year full-time MBA programme’s global standing
16 February, 2026, Bengaluru: IIM Bangalore’s full-time MBA for experienced professionals – the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) – has strengthened its global standing with the release of the Financial Times (FT) MBA Rankings 2026. Marking a decisive leap in significant parameters of evaluation, the latest rankings place the programme at #34 worldwide, rising from #57 in 2025. The one-year MBA further consolidated its position among the country’s leading MBA offerings, placing #3 in India.
The Financial Times MBA Rankings evaluate programmes across a comprehensive set of criteria, including career progression, alumni satisfaction, research output, diversity, internationalization, and value for money.
In the 2026 assessment, the EPGP has demonstrated notable strength across dimensions such as Aims Achieved, with a score of 85%, among the highest achieved by Indian institutes. The programme recorded a global rank of #4 in Career Progress, and #2 in India; secured the #24 position for Value for Money and achieved a Carbon Footprint rank of #21 globally and #1 in India.
The Institute also placed #2 in India in the FT Research Rank, based on faculty publications in 50 selected academic and practitioner journals between January 2023 and May 2025. Gender representation continues to strengthen, with 44% Women on Board and 25% Female Faculty.
With an Alumni Network Rank of #33 globally, the EPGP has graduated over one thousand professionals who serve in senior leadership roles across sectors, including technology, financial services, consulting, FMCG, and retail, in India and internationally. The programme combines rigorous academic grounding with immersive leadership development and global exposure, enabling participants to navigate complex, technology-driven, and rapidly evolving business environments.

Reinforcing its consistent performance, the EPGP also ranked #1 in India in the 2026 QS Global MBA Rankings and placed among the top three business schools in the APAC region in the Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-School Rankings 2025–26.
