31 December, 2018, Bengaluru: The Office of Research and Publications (R&P) at IIM Bangalore will host a research seminar titled: ‘Affirmative Action and Quality of Governance: Evidence from Utilization of Funds in Village Councils of India’, on January 07 (Monday), 2019, from 02.30 pm, at Classroom P-11. The talk will be delivered by Professor Subhasish Dey, University of York.
Speaker Profile: Dr. Subhasish Dey is a Lecturer at the Economics department of the University of York, UK. From January 2019, he will join the Economics department of the University of Warwick as a Senior Lecturer (tenured). Dr. Dey completed his PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester in July 2016 and prior to that he completed MA from Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Dr. Dey is an applied microeconomist working in the field of Development Economics and Political Economy. He has won few best teaching awards in the University of Manchester and University of York in 2015 and 2018 respectively. In recent years, Dr. Dey has also won few small research grants.
