The feat was accomplished during the conference organized jointly by IIMB’s Centre for Software & IT Management and the International Software Product Management Association, online from Jan 21-22
17 February, 2022, Bengaluru: A team from IIM Bangalore comprising Hardik Sanghavi from the institute’s two-year weekend MBA programme: Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), and Shrey Ostwal, Sudipto Nan and Samarth Yadav from the two-year full-time MBA: Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), has won the ‘Best Student Showcase’ honors at the recently held Software Product Management Summit India 2022, a conference organized jointly by IIMB’s Centre for Software & Information Technology Management (CSITM) and the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA).
The conference, held online from January 21 to 22, 2022, had Academic/Research and Industry tracks. There were several presentations, panel discussions and fireside chats with industry leaders. Out of all the submissions for the event, the top four teams were chosen to present during the summit.
The IIMB team’s achievement was for the showcase of their Software Product Management (SPM) project titled: ‘Avalara Inc.: Taxation and Compliance’ under the Academic Track event. They shared the top honors with another team from IIIT Bangalore whose project was ‘Videoken: Digital Product Analysis’.
SPM Summit India 2022, the fourth edition of the summit, included celebration of excellence in Software Product Management in both industry and research/academic tracks by honoring research and best practices in SPM. The summit is known for bringing together academics, industry leaders and professionals, covering a wide range of SPM topics through various events, such as keynotes, workshops, panel discussions, fireside chats, academic papers, presentations on industry best practices and success stories. In view of the prevailing conditions, the theme of this year’s summit was: ‘Building safe, secure and smart digital products and platforms’.
