The two-day event showcased the creativity of IIMB students through display and sale of their artwork; the proceeds from the sale of paintings go to the NGO Self-Reliance Endower for Education Research and Charitable Trust

08 March, 2021, Bengaluru: Vikasana, the Social Impact Club of the students of the two-year MBA programme at IIM Bangalore, hosted ‘Creativity for a Cause (CFAC)’ from March 06 to 07, 2021. The two-day event showcased the creativity of the students of IIM Bangalore through display and sale of their artwork.

The proceeds from the sale of paintings have been donated to an NGO - Self-Reliance Endower for Education Research and Charitable Trust (SREE TRUST). The trust was formed in 2004 in Bengaluru to develop capacities and strengthen human resources with an aim to enhance productivity. It is a professionally managed, not-for-profit social service-oriented organization, working with the objective of educational and social development of rural girls and boys of the backward border areas. Vikasana aims to sponsor education for a few female students associated with the NGO.

The paintings were displayed in a stall near Mustard Café, and the event was open to all. The event was in line with IIMB’s vision of valuing and striving for social impact.
